Southeastern Development Associates is re-developing the former Aiken Mall in Aiken, SC into a mixed-use site that will include retail, multi-family, and public space. The +/- 44 acre site is located on Whiskey Road, which has the highest traffic count in the county with an AADT of 38,600. The property is located at the entrance to Woodside Plantation, the largest residential community in Aiken containing 3 golf courses and more than 3,000 homes. Upon completion, the Aiken Mall redevelopment will include 256 Class A multifamily units, a hotel site, and 146,000 S.F. of retail which includes an exterior renovation for the Belk store and new retail/restaurant shops all centered around a new city park. In addition to the park, the public space will also include a new walking trail constructed around the perimeter of the property.
